Spain trip begins with Moondog and Benidorm

My friend Connor and I headed off to Spain on 6th June for a 2-week holiday, which would include travelling around the east and south, and meeting up with some friends from Belfast who now live out there.

As we prepared to board our flight to Alicante we bumped into an old acquaintance called Moondog, who both Connor and myself used to play football with. He and his mates were on a stag party heading to Benidorm.

We met Moondog at the departure gate - he was going on a stag party to Benidorm

It’s 10am and Marky the stag is already looking a bit worse for wear

For the sunny but slightly less verdant east of Spain

After touching down in Alicante, we picked up our rental car and headed towards Javea, where our friend Russell now lives. The sun was splitting the sky so we decided to stop at Benidorm (about halfway between Alicante and Javea) and hit up the beach for a few hours.
